Well this year’s Christmas Party was full of organisation mayhem as usual but when worse comes to worse a lil bit of prayer and deep breathing always helps. I love Christmas because it one of the few excuses I can make to try get all the family together! This year had its quarrels with whose house it should be at, who should cook what, what date suits everyone, who we should invite (immediate or extended) etc. I’m sure you’ve all experienced it at some point.
So this year the Christmas party was hosted by our family and boy was it a challenge. Mum has this tendency to over-react and over-worry and over-stress and over-analyse and… ok you get the picture… every situation or thing she has to organise (inside and outside the family). And although there were times where I clearly wasn’t helping the situation I went through the things she needs to do to make this party as stress free for her as I could. That means telling her who to delegate responsibilities to (appetisers, drinks, main dinner stuff and desserts) what things she DOESNT need to worry about (like fetching spare tables and chairs a WEEK EARLY! when my aunty lives less than a minute drive away)… and of course the constant encouragement to think positive and see the good in others giving no matter how big or small it is!
So the date gets finalised for Christmas Eve and things pretty much went smoothly from there… until… I realised I was working during the day on Christmas Eve and there were a few run ins with family members but feeling the prompting of the Holy Spirit I looked back at the last 5 or 10 minutes of arguing with Mum and realised how little support I was giving so I decided to take a moment to pray with Mum and Aaron. After that I think something changed and off we went decorating the house.
Ok so typical relatives… you tell them to arrive at 6:00PM… they all arrive around 7:30-8:00PM… I am dead serious. Don’t know why, it is just some weird phenomena in my family. So when everyone arrived we DUG IN! Roast Ham! Roast Lamb! Chicken Wings! Ceaser/Pasta/Garden Salads! Tempura Prawns! Potato Bake! Roast Pork (asian style)! Chow Mein! AND SO MUCH MORE … then for Dessert! Pavlova! Creme Caramel! Cheese Cake, Home Made Ice-Cream, Banana Cake, Fruit Salad!!! Man i was SOOO STUFFED!!
So after dinner we gathered around the Christmas Tree and argued who should act as “santa”… eventually my uncle was chosen. He handed out all the presents under the tree and there was about 20 more minutes till midnight. So someone suggest Christmas carols… and for the next 10 minutes we argued who should play the piano… ok so i dont know how to play carols so i bailed… eventually somehow my mum managed to change the topic to Don’s testimony! This had to definitely be a REAL SPONTAENOUS GOD MOMENT! I was soooo encouraged by the amount of positivity and encouragement everyone had towards Don and wanting him to read his testimony to everyone! But alas, Don turned SUPER SHY and refused to read it out… so eventually after 5mins his Dad read it out with Don by his side. WOW… imagine 20 of your family members sitting listening to the testimony of someone they have known all their life… all in complete silence! It was amazing! I could really feel the presence of God in that place and seeing everyones encouragement after towards Don almost brought me to tears!
For the next 5 minutes we argued over who should play piano.. my lil cousin ended playing jingle bells for us (and death staring us when we wouldnt keep in time with him) and then we took photos… then MIDNIGHT … PRESSIES!!!!!!!! This Year i wasn’t blessed with alot of presents but I thank God more for just bringing my family together with no quarrels and tension… it was a really blessed night!
Want my Christmas list:
So after dinner we gathered around the Christmas Tree, argued who should act as *santa* and hand out the gifts… eventually my uncle

It sure has been a while since I did a post on my blog. Sorry for those who read my blog and have been reading the ulcers post over and over again. Unfortuneately i am not ready just yet to share what God has been doing in my life since I am still waiting on Him so i would like to share with you a new found photo craze I hope to begin in the world.
Bubbles. Yes bubbles. The other night at about 2 am my brother and I decided to play with this bubble stuff my mum bought. The mixture turned out to be awesome! It made not only HUGE bubbles but tough ones! Ones that could float around for a good minute! And with no breeze to be found they just floated in mid-air. I grabbed my camera took some photos then decided I wanted a photo with the bubble! then the craze began. Just take a look and you’ll understand.
This is the picture that started it all

Was so much fun. Hope it starts a craze!!! haha

… yes ulcers… I’ve had one for the past couple of days now and it is driving me crazy! It stings SOOOO much! I’ve had to eat my meals on the right side of my mouth and i havent been able to enjoy a good meal in a while. What makes it worse is the ulcer in the fold at the base of my gum and rest of my mouth and pretty much under the last tooth in the bottom row. What makes it worse is that my cheek is always kinda pressing down and can always feel it.
Ah God please take this ulcer away its driving me crazy!!!!
But thanks to Menisha who prayed for my ulcer on Sunday at LG it doesn’t hurt as much now!
