Thank you Lord for your protection over my Mum!
On thursday night our 4WD was playing up with basically the battery power not turning off even with the key out of the car so we took the car in on Friday morning to get a full servicing and check up (since it was due as well). I went to church later on that night and mum went to pick up the car and drove it home. After that she left home for her Family LG held at the Tan’s.
Later on that night while playing Wii at Don’s place we got a call from mum saying that the car had “exploded”. So after a bit we left for home to see what had happened. Mum says that after she got home the garage was full of smoke and there was water all over the floor. Mum moved some of the mats soaked with the water and complained of a burning, tingling sensation over her hands and unknowingly i had accidently put my fingers in my mouth because i had a hair in there and where my fingers touched my tongue went numb so i quickly rinsed my mouth out. We looked at the mats that we had put on the grass to see that 90% of the grass under the mat had pretty much died!
From then on we realised that whatever the liquid was on the floor it was acidic! We called RACQ at about 1am and 20 minutes later the guy had come, we explained, he looked and after many word of profanity later he explained that the battery had internally exploded and leaked battery acid onto the floor and onto the wiring inside the car which is pretty much now eroded away. so we spent the next 2 hours cleaning up the garage with a hose.
But where the praise comes in is that He said if we had driven it anymore the car would probably have exploded on the driver which would have been my mum! And it is amazing that she was meant to drive to LG but somehow plans got changed.
Praise God, He is always looking out for His children. Isn’t this is a great lesson in that not everything happens by accident! God was right when He said his ways are higher than ours!
